Unfortunately due to a number of technical and scheduling difficulties the Velvet/Hans show due to appear in Kings Park in December 2022  has been cancelled. Your tickets will automatically be refunded to your credit card and we thank you for your support and understanding. Perth, get ready to party and be prepared to be sizzled within an inch of your life! 

Senses will be aroused in a glittering Christmas boogie wonderland when in four star spangled nights in December, Kings Park & Botanic Gardens will be transformed into a pulsating divine discotheque circus with the exclusive-to-Perth pairing of Hans with his sensational and international award-winning Disco Spektakulär plus Velvet Rewired featuring Marcia Hines. That’s two giant productions hitting the one stage on the same night for the very first time – the epitome of two for the price of one! Tickets on sale Friday 5 August.

Hans, international superstar, sex symbol, accordionist, and Berlin boy-wonder, has been thrilling audiences around the globe with his own fabulous brand of award winning, sell-out cabaret for 14 years.

Haus of Hans: Disco Spektakulär features Hans with his band – The Ungrateful Bastards, his singers, and dancers – The Lucky Bitches in this award-winning disco, comedy cabaret romp through a catalogue of classic disco hit songs.

 After his cancelled FringeWorld show earlier this year, we’re thrilled that the multiple international award winner and wunderbar showman is confirmed to make his way back to the West.

The award-winning Velvet Rewired returns to touring Australia six years after the global smash hit was born into the sequins and the disco dust of the Adelaide Fringe in 2015. Marcia Hines, DJ Joe Accaria, Hula Boy Craig Reid (direct from a Caeser's Palace, Las Vegas residency in a Spiegeltent production of Absinthe) head up a dazzling cast of Australian and international circus stars, which  includes born-and-bred West Australian and renowned circus performer/aerialist, Beau Sargeant. Velvet Rewired has always been a nightclub, a state of mind and a fantasy! This is a scintillating event - an exhilarating night of fun, funk, and fabulous music.

DEAN MISDALE – DRAG DJ/MC

Most famously known as the Drag Queen that went viral around the globe after jumping on stage and singing with Adele at her Perth concert, Dean Misdale is no stranger to the bright lights of the stage.

Dean is a multi-award-winning artist having won Entertainer of the Year at the 2019 Proud Awards and most recently took home the award for Best Cabaret & Variety Show with “Life’s A Drag” at Fringe World 2022 after winning the weekly award in the same category two years running. Life’s A Drag also won Best Show at Dubbo Fringe 2022. Dean is versatile and multi-talented being one of the few Drag artists in Australia who not only sing LIVE but is also a DJ, Musical Theatre performer and Actor. As a regular performer on the Fringe and Cabaret circuit Dean is a standout with countless sell out seasons and receiving 5 Star reviews for their shows Mad As Hell The Musical and Life’s A Drag.

All tickets available through Ticketmaster.com.au and 136 100. This is a licensed event. All patrons must have a valid ticket for entry. Please note that Companion Cards can only be used when purchasing General Admission tickets.

MINORS
Under 18's not permitted for this event. 

SET TIMES & LINE-UP
Occasionally changes to the line-up and/or program times occur that are out of the Promoters control. The Promoter reserves the right to change the line-up and/or program times without prior notification.

WHAT TO BRING
Picnic rug and hamper, jacket, sun hat, sunscreen, sealed plastic bottled water/soft drink only (NO BYO Alcohol), comfy shoes and good vibes. For seating, see below. Empty aluminium or plastic water bottles are permitted to be brought into the venue for free filling at the water stations. 

TICKETS

-Diamond, Platinum and Gold seating are standard high back chairs, located on the deck.  
-Lawn – General Admission ticket holders will need to bring their own picnic rug or seat if desired. Low-to-the-ground beach style chairs are recommended in the General Admission area. High back (deck/camping) chairs are permitted, however will be positioned at the rear of the venue.
A seating area is provided for those with wheelchair requirements.

IMPORTANT – COVID SAFETY INFORMATION
Your health and safety is of the upmost important to us. We are working closely with the state Health Department to ensure all our shows comply with current directions from national and state government.

​BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE  
Shuttle buses run along Lovekin Drive & May Drive from 4pm - 7pm, picking up patrons at the lighting towers and delivering to main gate (Gate 1). Please note this is a ONE-WAY SERVICE ONLY, helping inbound patrons to enter the show. There are no return shuttle services. We kindly ask for a gold coin donation for this service – all proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House Perth.

FOOD
A wide range of food options to suit all tastes and budgets will be available for purchase at the venue. Visit jdsfastfoods.com.au to view food vendors in attendance, menus and to pre-order grazing boxes. Patrons can also visit ticketmaster.com.au to pre-order grazing boxes. Alternatively, patrons may bring their own food/picnic. Please be aware of prohibited items listed under “Not Permitted”.

NOT PERMITTED
Strictly NO BYO alcohol and NO glass items. This is a fully licensed event. No tables or umbrellas, professional SLR cameras, video or recording equipment, metal cutlery, wine spikes, bean bags, tents, or sun shelters.
The Botanic Garden is a smoke free venue.

All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry. No Pass Outs.

PARKING
Available along Lovekin, Forrest and May Drives. A drop off zone is located at the venue entrance on Lovekin Drive. ACROD Parking is located on Forrest Drive near the DNA Tower. Access Forrest Drive via Park and Poole Avenue entrances, Crawley.

  • Please note that the contact details provided at the point of purchase (email, mobile, mailing address) are the details used to communicate all VIP information.
  • A TEXT with a link to VIP instructions OR an EMAIL, will be sent 3-5 business days before the event with timings and additional information. Please contact info@mellenevents.com if this is not received. We also send reminder texts the day of the show detailing the time and location of check in.
  • VIP purchasers may need to arrive 1-2 hours before doors open to ensure delivery of all benefits.
  • Original purchasers name must be known in order to check-in and receive your benefits.
  • VIP inclusions (e.g. laminate, drink voucher or merchandise item) will be redeemed and collected on the night of the show (unless otherwise advised).
  • Given the dynamic nature of live events, we may need to make changes to parts of your VIP Package including seating arrangements, start times, merchandise, food and beverage service arrangements and other things. Where we do this, we will ensure that you will be provided with alternatives that overall have an equivalent value as your package.

FAQS

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET FOR MY BABY or CHILD?
All patrons, including minors & babies, must have a valid ticket for entry. All minors under 18 years of age who have purchased a ticket will only be permitted into the concert site if they are accompanied by their parent/legal guardian. If a minor is NOT ACCOMPANIED by their parent/legal guardian, they will be refused entry to the concert and they will not receive a refund on their ticket.

MY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS SAY "GENADM" BUT HAVE ROW & SEAT NUMBERS ON THEM - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

​General Admission Grass ticket holders will need to bring a picnic blanket or rug with them to sit on (should you wish) or alternatively a low-to-the-ground beach style chair or director/camping chair. Please note that beach chairs (being low-to-the-ground) will be positioned in the first half of the General Admission Grass area and director/camping chairs (being higher off the ground) will be positioned toward the rear of the General Admission Grass area.

I LOST SOME BELONGINGS AT A SHOW // LEFT BEHIND CLOAKED OR CONFISCATED ITEMS - WHAT DO I DO?

I PURCHASED A DRINK (ALCOHOLIC) AT THE VENUE & HAVEN'T FINISHED IT BY THE END OF THE SHOW. CAN I WALK OUT THE VENUE WITH IT?
No, the event area is a licensed venue and as such, no alcohol can be taken off the premises (just as you can't purchase a drink at a pub and walk out with it - it must be consumed within the licensed area). Please assist security by leaving any unfinished alcoholic beverages behind.
