Secret Sounds and Mellen Events are thrilled to announce that UK sensation George Ezra will be returning down under in October and November 2022. Armed with a host of new tracks from his upcoming album, Gold Rush Kid, along with a bunch of crowd favourites, George will play shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

In the years since the release of his first smash hit single ‘Budapest’ in 2014, George Ezra has toured the world over and sold more than 7.5 million albums across his first two blockbuster records, Wanted on Voyage (2014) and Staying At Tamaras (2018). Both albums reached number one in the UK with the latter becoming the biggest selling artist album for 2018, earning him his first number one single with ‘Shotgun’. He also took home the Brit Award for Best British Solo Male in 2019. George has amassed 25 Platinum album certifications, a further 17 Gold albums and over 6 billion streams throughout his career.

George Ezra returned in 2022 with euphoric single ‘Anyone For You’ which remained on the UK Official Singles Chart for weeks following its release. It is the first song to be lifted from his  forthcoming third album Gold Rush Kid out on 10 June. George’s latest single, the irresistible earworm ‘Green Green Grass’ followed in April. The infectiously joyful track was debuted alongside ‘Anyone For You’ at a host of intimate gigs performed across the UK. The shows received huge applause, with The Telegraph dubbing them as “a joyous singalong that was impossible to resist" in their five star review.

 A traveller and entertainer, George Ezra is a man in pursuit of happiness, and of sharing that happiness. Aided and abetted by an eight-piece musical band of brothers and sisters, he’s bounced from Budapest to Barcelona to, more recently, Manila. Just like everyone, George was recently faced with a whole new reality when the world was put on pause. This time at home saw him launch the second series of his all-star George Ezra & Friends podcast with guests including Elton John, Lily Allen, Sam Smith, Shania Twain, Ed Sheeran and more. He followed this with a second podcast series, Phone A Friend, which explores mental health.

 George will be well and truly ready for the stage when he touches down in Australia, hot off the back of his recently announced nationwide UK arena tour throughout September and October. The tour follows his special show at London’s Finsbury Park in July, which features a lineup of special guests including Blossoms, Holly Humbertsone, Mimi Webb, The Big Moon, Mychelle and London International Gospel Choir. George announced the tour alongside the news that he is now YouTube Music’s Sustainability Partner for 2022. YouTube Music agreed to provide a significant financial contribution to support a cause of George’s choosing. Conscious of the environmental impact that creating, touring and promoting a record has, he selected The National Trust who will use the money to plant 17,000 trees across the UK as part of their plan to become net zero by 2030.

 Known for his sunny disposition, George Ezra has alchemised the darkness of the last two years into revivifying, invigorating light on his new record, which is set to be a 12-strong suite of marvellous, transporting, elevational songs ready to be sung out loud and in a crowd when he hits our shores. All tickets available through Ticketmaster.com.au and 136 100. This is a licensed event. All patrons, including minors & babies, must have a valid ticket for entry. Please note that Companion Cards can only be used when purchasing General Admission tickets.

Door sales available via EFT/Credit unless exhausted prior. Box Office for this event is cashless. 

MINORS
All patrons, including minors & babies, must have a valid ticket for entry. All minors under 18 years of age who have purchased a ticket will only be permitted into the concert site if they are accompanied by their parent/legal guardian. If a minor is NOT ACCOMPANIED by their parent/legal guardian, they will be refused entry to the concert and they will not receive a refund on their ticket.

SET TIMES & LINE-UP
Occasionally changes to the line-up and/or program times occur that are out of the Promoters control. The Promoter reserves the right to change the line-up and/or program times without prior notification.

WHAT TO BRING
Picnic rug and hamper, jacket, sun hat, sunscreen, sealed plastic bottled water/soft drink only (NO BYO Alcohol), comfy shoes and good vibes. For seating, see below. Empty aluminium or plastic water bottles are permitted to be brought into the venue for free filling at the water stations. 

TICKETS
-Deck – GA Standing tickets gain access to the deck in front of the stage. No seating is permitted.  
-Lawn – General Admission ticket holders will need to bring their own picnic rug or seat if desired.
Low-to-the-ground beach style chairs are recommended in the General Admission area. High back (deck/camping) chairs are permitted, however will be positioned at the rear of the venue.
A seating area is provided for those with wheelchair requirements.

IMPORTANT – COVID SAFETY INFORMATION
Your health and safety is of the upmost important to us. We are working closely with the state Health Department to ensure all our shows comply with current directions from national and state government.

​BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE  
Shuttle buses run along Lovekin Drive & May Drive from 4pm - 7pm, picking up patrons at the lighting towers and delivering to main gate (Gate 1). Please note this is a ONE-WAY SERVICE ONLY, helping inbound patrons to enter the show. There are no return shuttle services. We kindly ask for a gold coin donation for this service – all proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House Perth.

CASHLESS EVENT
This event is cashless. All ticketing, bars and food vendors will have cashless payment only.

FOOD
A wide range of food options to suit all tastes and budgets will be available for purchase at the venue. Visit jdsfastfoods.com.au to view food vendors in attendance, menus and to pre-order grazing boxes. Patrons can also visit ticketmaster.com.au to pre-order grazing boxes. Alternatively, patrons may bring their own food/picnic. Please be aware of prohibited items listed under “Not Permitted”.

NOT PERMITTED
Strictly NO BYO alcohol and NO glass items. This is a fully licensed event. No tables or umbrellas, professional SLR cameras, video or recording equipment, metal cutlery, wine spikes, bean bags, tents, or sun shelters.
The Botanic Garden is a smoke free venue.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry. No Pass Outs.

PARKING
Available along Lovekin, Forrest and May Drives. A drop off zone is located at the venue entrance on Lovekin Drive. ACROD Parking is located on Forrest Drive near the DNA Tower. Access Forrest Drive via Park and Poole Avenue entrances, Crawley.

AFTER THE EVENT 
Lovekin Drive between Forrest Roundabout and Forrest Drive (in front of concert venue - Main Gate 1 & Ticket Box area) and the pre-show drop off zone will be closed to all vehicles just prior to show end, for up to 1 hour post show.
There will be two alternative pick up points provided after the show to accommodate the change, see below:

For General Pick-Ups: Forrest Carpark (near the Forrest roundabout) and Wadjuk Carpark (behind Frasers Restaurant) will be available.
For Taxis & Rideshare Pick-Ups (i.e. Uber, etc): Wadjuk Carpark – Set Down Zone (behind Frasers Restaurant) on May Drive

Please note that beach chairs (being low-to-the-ground) will be positioned in the first half of the General Admission Grass area and director/camping chairs (being higher off the ground) will be positioned toward the rear of the General Admission Grass area.

I PURCHASED A DRINK (ALCOHOLIC) AT THE VENUE & HAVEN'T FINISHED IT BY THE END OF THE SHOW. CAN I WALK OUT THE VENUE WITH IT?
No, the event area is a licensed venue and as such, no alcohol can be taken off the premises (just as you can't purchase a drink at a pub and walk out with it - it must be consumed within the licensed area). Please assist security by leaving any unfinished alcoholic beverages behind.
