Rockwiz Live! & The Whitlams

Rockwiz Live! & The Whitlams

ROCKWIZ LIVE! and THE WHITLAMS are coming to Perth for a special show in Kings Park & Botanic Garden March 23rd 2024, Presented by Mellen Events and 96FM
See the stars of Rockwiz Live! including Julia, Brian, Dugald, the RocKwiz Orkestra, your favourite segments, a cracking collection of special guests, and some new surprises!
Then right after, catch THE WHITLAMS live in concert, performing all your favourites including: “No Aphrodisiac”, “You Sound Like Louis Burdett” and “Blow up the Pokies”.

The Whitlams’ bittersweet balladry, quirky storytelling, and rollicking pub boogie has made them one of Australia’s most successful touring and recording acts. With over 1000 shows under its belt, the band has a reputation for delivering fine musicianship in rambunctious style.
During its storied history the band released five platinum and gold selling albums in a row, most famously Eternal Nightcap in 1997 which captured the hearts of a generation and now places in the top echelons of Best Australian Albums of All-time lists, and Torch the Moon in 2002, an ARIA number 1.
In Jan 2022 they released their first studio album in 15 years, “Sancho”, and played to jubilant audiences around the country. After the album launch tour, they followed up with national runs to celebrate Eternal Nightcap's 25th anniversary, and then to feature the Early albums from '93 ton '97. The Whitlams have sold out the Astor Theatre three times since October 2022.
The classic four piece sees Tim Freedman joined by longtime members Jak Housden on guitar, Terepai Richmond on drums, and new recruit Ian Peres (Wolfmother) on bass and Hammond organ - yes he plays both at the same time.
