WA DAY FESTIVAL 2022
A reimagined WA Day Festival returns in 2022 a stacked WA live music line-up, the state’s biggest drone light show and so much more on Monday 6 June at the Burswood Parklands, supported by WA Government, Lotterywest and BHP.
WA music industry icons Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe and Jebediah will lead an all-star line-up at the event for all senses, with Alter Boy, Banjo Lucia, Darcie Haven, Marli Jose Michael Dunstan, One True North, The Struggling Kings and Supathick also hitting the WA Day Festival main stage between 12-9:30pm.
The show will light both the night sky and audience imaginations with 500 drones telling our state’s stories. Set to a WA themed musical score playing on screens and speakers across the Burswood peninsular, this is one show not to miss.
From 12noon onwards, family-friendly entertainment and attractions will be on offer including a giant silent disco, roaming entertainers, a community stage filled with talent, over 60 food trucks, 16 carnival rides & games, plus over 20 incredible family fun activations including Scitech, WA museum, Lotterywest, HBF, Channel 7, Nova and many more.
Throughout the day, West Australians can immerse themselves in indigenous storytelling with Wadjuk Dreaming – this celebrates the Whadjuk Noongar history in Western Australia, an anthology of four animated short films in a bespoke dome. The experience will give spectators an intimate 'yarning round the campfire' feel as they experience the wonder of the Dreamtime stories.
